Assessment
An initial intake assessment will be completed with parents to discuss your child’s areas of need and help us gain a better understanding of your child’s history and development. From there we will put together the initial service plan.
Standardized assessments as well as informal evaluations are available for fine motor and visual motor integration skills, sensory processing skills, self-regulation, as well as self-help skills including feeding and picky eating.
The information you receive from an assessment is very important as it provides a baseline to start the child’s individualized therapy programs, develop goals and recommendations, as well as monitor’s change. Assessments provide valuable information to pass along to other professionals for medical requirements or for your child’s school to provide additional support.
